Marubeni Corporation (“Marubeni”) today announced that it has signed the Sales and Purchase Agreement with SK Energy for the acquisition of 10% interest in the Peru LNG Project. The international project consortium for the project consists of Hunt Oil Company (50%) of the United States, SK Energy (20%) of Korea, Repsol YPF (20%) of Spain and Marubeni Corporation (10%) of Japan.

This project, located on the west coast of Peru in the South America, has geographical advantage to supply competitive LNG products not only to the Latin America market and U.S. West Coast market but also to Asian Far East market as possible alternative destination.  Natural gas feedstock will be supplied from Camisea gas field and processed at LNG Plant located at Pampa Melchorita area, south of Peruvian capital Lima.

The Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract for the project was awarded to the Chicago Bridge & Iron Company and single train LNG plant with production capacity of 4.45 million metric tons per year is currently under construction. The LNG supply will commence in 2010 under the sale and purchase agreement with Repsol YPF. The total project cost is estimated at approximately US$ 3.8 billion. Financing for the project is expected to be provided by a variety of sources, including the Inter-American Development Bank, Export-Import Bank of the United States, Export-Import Bank of Korea, SACE and IFC.

This is the third opportunity for Marubeni to take part in the promising LNG projects further than our current participation into Qatari (7.5%) and Equatoguinean (6.5%) LNG projects and Marubeni is the first Japanese company to participate in the LNG projects in the area of the North, Central and South America. Along with the existing projects participated, Marubeni will proactively pursue the opportunities for a new acquisition of LNG projects in order to further enhance our capability of securing natural energy resources.

Believe it or not, 26000 Vodka is made with "pristine paleowater that is 260 centuries old" - hence the name. Of course, Earth has pretty much the exact same amount of water as it did millions of years ago, so that might not be as impressive a feat as it sounds. That being said, the ultra-premium vodka in question is made with very pure water that allows for an exceptionally smooth taste. All of it is made by hand in New Zealand, carefully distilled in small batches to ensure quality. The basic vodka from the brand is called Crystalline, and they make two flavors with organic fruit infusions - Raspberry & Lemon and Lychee - that are lightly tinted for a distinctive look. The vodkas retail for $47 US ($68 NZD) per bottle .

In September 1998, a new Zhejiang University was established on the basis of the amalgamation of the four former individual universities, namely Zhejiang University, Hangzhou University, Zhejiang Agricultural University and Zhejiang Medical University, which were all located in the garden city of Hangzhou. Approved by the State Council, the founding of the new Zhejiang University has been a significant move in the reform and development of China's higher education. The four universities have grown out of the same ancestry, the Qiushi (with the literal meaning of "seeking truth" in Chinese) Academy, which was founded a century ago as one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in China. As a result, they have all inherited from it the spirit of "Qiushi" and at the same time, built up their own distinctive features in teaching and research. Under the direct administration of China's Ministry of Education, the new Zhejiang University is a key comprehensive university whose fields of study cover eleven branches of learning, namely philosophy, literature, history, education, science, economics, law, management, engineering, agriculture and medicine. The university, now has 115 specialties for undergraduate studies, and it is entitled to confer masters degrees in 312 programs and doctoral degrees in 237 programs. Under its administration there are 13 Nation Key Laboratories, 2 National Engineering Research Centers and 3 National Engineering Technology Centers. Besides, it has set up 24 nation key specialties and 39 post-doctor stations. Endowed with a pleasant climate, picturesque surroundings and a favorable academic atmosphere, Zhejiang University is an ideal place for teaching, research, and learning. With six campuses, namely Yuquan, Xixi, Huajiachi, Hubin, Zhijiang, and Zijingang, the university now occupies a total area of 533 hectares and a floor space of over 2,000,000 square meters. At present, the total number of full time students has reached over 40,000, including more than 23,600 undergraduates, over 9,300 postgraduates working for master's degrees and over 6,200 Ph.D. candidates. There are also nearly 37,000 students taking courses in degree and non-degree programs in adult education. Among its 8,400 staff members and workers, there are 14 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 9 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, over 1,200 full professors and over 2,400 associate professors. With a total space of 83,000 square meters, the university library has a collection of more than 6,390,000 volumes. In addition, the university has 6 affiliated hospitals, providing medical services of various kinds for people from all over Zhejiang province. At the turn of the century, the university is taking full advantage of the opportunities brought by the amalgamation, and will continue to give priority to education and research. It seeks to offer service to the nation's economic development, and to make every effort to build itself into an institution on a par with the first-class university in the world.

Movado has created a trio of watch styles to celebrate the anniversary of their Museum dial.

The Concept 60 Sapphire has a mirror-finish silver Museum dial set in stainless steel and enclosed in sapphire crystal so that it appears to float within the case. The stainless steel crown is also set in crystal. It uses an automatic ETA caliber 2892 movement. There is also a version with diamonds set under the crystal along the profile of the case. It is available on a gray satin strap or a stainless steel bracelet with sapphire crystal center links. Movado will create 500 of these limited series pieces. The watch is 38mm and is also available in other variations including a model with unset diamonds on black alligator strap, one set with diamonds on stainless steel, a sapphire crystal and diamond bracelet, blue sapphires on blue satin strap or black diamonds on black satin strap.
